










3.5.4.1 Howto change the default configuration for event notification
Go to your personal preferences page by following the [Edit Prefs] link and
click the
button. On the 'default event configuration' page select the
awareness services you want to enable. For each service you may select specific
event types which are of interest by default, in particular you may choose from
the following event types (cf. section 3.5.2):
- Read events
occur when a workspace member reads a document
- Create events
are generated when new documents, links, folders and messages are created
- Move events
when a document, folder, etc, is deleted, undeleted, cut, copied or dropped, a move event is generated
- Change events
are generated when an object is renamed or edited.
- Note:
- These settings are always applied on objects unless you've defined a specific behaviour for a given folder or document (see below). Moreover your personal default event configuration allows you to disable a specific service at a central location. This is particularly useful if you don't want to be annoyed by email notification (Direct eMail or Daily Report). Please also note that some services may be disabled by default.
